About The Band

Formed in 2007, Solace is one of the leading covers bands in the south east of England, playing music from the 50s through to the present day.

Favourites include The Jam, Doobie Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Foo Fighters and The Kings of Leon to name but a few.

Playing at pubs, parties & weddings, their wide repertoire of songs make any night a memorable experience.

Solace offer a complete entertainment package, including a DJ, lights and full indoor/outdoor PA system.

All our equipment is fully insured and PAT tested.

Paul – Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar

An experienced performer, Paul’s vocal range ensures that the band are equally at home playing Soul classics and Ballads, as well as pure Rock’n’Roll.

Paul loves the challenge of learning new material, but don’t ask him for any Lady Gaga……

Phil – Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals

Phil is no stranger to the rock scene, playing in bands for over 30 years.

Highlights include playing in the Royal Albert hall and Wembley arena.

Phil is a very reserved drummer (YEAH RIGHT) and enjoys studio work as well as live performances.

Phil also DJ’S for weddings and parties, to ensure that Solace can offer an all round package.

Ian – Lead Guitar, Bass, Drums, Backing Vocals

Ian is a very accomplished musician for one so young…We hate him!!!!

Apart from playing Lead guitar, bass, drums and piano, he also teaches music to kids at local schools…I told you we hate him!!!!

Ian has made a great influence on all us oldies, suggesting more up to date music from all genres.

Simon – Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals

Simon is our main bass player, where he brings another dimension to our style of playing.

With his vast knowledge of music, we are very lucky to have him.
